Born and raised in the vibrant city of New Orleans, Scott drew inspiration from the eclectic voices and cultures that surrounded him during his formative years. As a second-generation Guatemalan, he was steeped in the rich traditions and customs of his heritage. Scott's academic background includes a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Writing from Loyola University of New Orleans, which provided him with a solid foundation in creative writing and literary analysis.
Scott's professional career has been marked by numerous successes in the film and television industry. He has served as a co-writer for several Hallmark Channel productions, including the hit movie "Season of Love" starring Autumn Reeser and Marc Blucas, which dominated the weekly cable ratings and became one of Hallmark's most popular summer movies of all time. He also co-wrote and co-produced the movie "A Joyous Christmas" starring Natalie Knepp, Michael Rady, and Bonnie Bedelia for Hallmark Movies & Mysteries.
In addition to his work in television, Scott has also made a name for himself in the world of feature films. He penned, co-produced, and co-directed the feature film "Racing Colt," which showcased his versatility as a writer, producer, and director.
Scott is currently in active development on multiple projects with Heather Provost, including a rom/com feature film for MarVista Entertainment and a forthcoming crime drama podcast series, "Hope Haven." The pair recently signed a deal with a popular streaming app as creators/showrunners for an upcoming rom/com series, and are in active development on an hourlong original-drama series. They are also currently in pre-production on the feature suspense/thriller "Among," which they co-wrote and will also co-direct.
In addition to his work in the entertainment industry, Scott is also a published author. His memoir, "Voice: A Stutterer's Odyssey," was released nationwide through Behler Publications and chronicles his struggles as a severe stutterer and how he overcame this crippling impediment through the arts. The book was accompanied by an audiobook version, which has been widely praised for its honesty and vulnerability. Scott has also worked extensively with Disney Imagineers, serving as Director/Creative Consultant for a highly-anticipated experience that premiered at "Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge" at the Disneyland Resort.
