Scott Cummings, an American actor, was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, where he attended Brentwood Junior and Senior High School. As the son of a Protestant minister and a clinical social worker, he was exposed to various influences and interests, which ultimately led him to pursue a career in acting. During his undergraduate studies, he tried out several majors but eventually decided to major in Theater due to his strong passion for the subject. After receiving a Bachelor's degree in Theater Arts from the University of Southern Indiana, he was offered a full scholarship to pursue his Master's degree in Acting at the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C.
While studying in southern Indiana, he had the opportunity to meet Steve Hudgins and PJ Woodside, the founders of Big Biting Pig Productions, a Kentucky-based filmmaking company known for their prolific and award-winning work. Cummings made his feature film debut in Hudgins' "Spirit Stalkers" in 2012 and then went on to play the role of Dr. Aaron Knight, a flamboyant self-help guru, in Woodside's psychological thriller "Lucid" in 2013. More recently, he portrayed the eccentric character of Patrick Stein, the ex-husband of a female mad scientist, in the 2015 film "Frances Stein."
