Scott Allegrucci, a native of Kansas, has had a diverse and extensive career in the entertainment industry, with appearances in films, television shows, and theater productions across the country.
His film credits include a range of roles, such as Andy Weiss in the feature film Earthwork, which he also executive produced, Deputy Russ Kane in Bunker Hill, and the voice of the award-winning short film Second Place. He has also appeared in several short films, including 76 Spade, where he played the central character.
In television, Allegrucci has had roles in ABC after-school specials such as All That Glitters and Taking a Stand, which won an Emmy Award, as well as an appearance on the popular series Chicago Hope.
On stage, Allegrucci has worked at several renowned theaters, including The Public Theater in New York, The Old Globe Theatre in San Diego, Frontera Theater in Austin, and The Antaeus Company in Los Angeles. He has played a wide range of characters, including Stanley in A Streetcar Named Desire, Claudio in Much Ado About Nothing, Charlie Fox in Speed-the-Plow, and Andrei in Three Sisters.
Allegrucci has also toured with Jim Jackson and The Cartoon History of Theater throughout Colorado as part of The Kennedy Center Imagination Celebration, and has provided narration for the first annual Symphony in the Flint Hills with the Paul Winter Consort and the Kansas City Symphony.
As a director, Allegrucci has worked on several productions, including The Birds, an original adaptation from Aristophanes, Molly Sweeney, and Yesterday Came Too Soon: The Dorothy Dandridge Story. He is also the co-author of the short film script Mime and Punishment, which won several awards, including top prize at the Screenwriting Magazine Expo 5 Script Competition.
Allegrucci has received numerous awards and nominations for his work, including a nomination for the Austin Critics' Table Award for his role in Weldon Rising and a B. Iden Payne Award for his work in Halcyon Days. He has also been a recipient of the Princess Grace Foundation Statue Award and Grant, as well as a PFG Theater Scholarship.
In addition to his work in the entertainment industry, Allegrucci has also worked in various other fields, including post-production for feature films and network television, as the Director of the Tourism Development Division in the Kansas Department of Commerce, and as the Projects Director of the Climate and Energy Project of The Land Institute. He graduated from The American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York and holds a BA in Anthropology from The Colorado College.
