Saurabh Varma is a seasoned filmmaker and marketer with a vast 25-year experience in the Indian Film and Entertainment industry. Prior to his current endeavors, he held the esteemed position of Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) for prominent film and entertainment companies such as Jio Studios, PVR, INOX, and Reliance Entertainment.
Throughout his illustrious career, Saurabh has successfully spearheaded the marketing of over 1,000 films across multiple Indian languages. His current projects include serving as the Creative Producer of an upcoming Netflix web series, which is currently in development. Additionally, he is part of the production team for the two-time Sundance award-winning film "Girls will be Girls", now streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
Furthermore, Saurabh has also worked as the Creative Producer on "Malegaon Ka Superman", a film produced by the renowned Anurag Kashyap. His latest directorial venture is an action series featuring the talented Urmila Matondkar, which is currently in post-production. Saurabh's previous directorial credits include the successful films "Mickey Virus" (2013),the Marathi film "Vicky Velingkar", and the action-thriller "7 Hours to Go", which was made on a modest budget yet delivered high impact.
A recipient of the prestigious Philip Kotler Award, Saurabh is a multifaceted individual with expertise in marketing, brand strategy, content creation, graphic design, script doctoring, and advertising. He has had the privilege of collaborating with industry leaders such as Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney, YRF, Red Chillies, Maddock Films, Viacom18, Sony, Warner Bros., and T-Series.
