Born into a well-established landlord family, Sathyaraj's educational background is marked by academic excellence. He completed his high school education up to the 10th standard and passed the S.S.L.C. examination with flying colors, securing first rank marks in history and geography at the school level. He then joined Government Arts College and earned a B.Sc. degree in botany.
However, acting was an innate passion for Sathyaraj, and he made his film debut in the movie 'Kodugal Illaatha Kolangal'. He gained recognition as an actor with the film 'Nooraavathu Naal', gradually establishing himself as a successful villain opposite protagonists in various movies.
