Sarah Shahi, born Aahoo Jahansouzshahi, is a talented actress of Iranian descent, with a rich cultural heritage. Her father, an Iranian, and her mother, a Spanish-Iranian, instilled in her a strong sense of identity. Growing up in Euless, Texas, Sarah was a former NFL cheerleader and a descendant of a 19th-century Persian Shah.

Sarah's educational background is impressive, having attended Trinity High School and Southern Methodist University. She studied opera and majored in English, demonstrating her versatility and dedication to the arts. As a teenager, she won several beauty contests, including the prestigious Miss Fort Worth USA pageant in 1997.

Sarah's early career was marked by her stint as a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader and her appearance on the cover of their 2000 calendar. She then transitioned to acting, working as an extra on the set of Dr. T & the Women (2000),where she met director Robert Altman, who encouraged her to pursue a career in Hollywood.

Sarah's breakthrough role came when she played the first ghost in the CW paranormal drama series Supernatural (2005). She went on to have recurring roles in several TV series, including Alias (2001),Dawson's Creek (1998),and The L Word (2004),where she played the fan-favorite character Carmen de la Pica Morales.

However, it was her main role as CIA agent turned-vigilante Sameen Shaw on the CBS show Person of Interest (2011) that cemented her status as a leading lady. Her performance earned her widespread acclaim, showcasing her range and versatility as an actress.
