Sarah Megan Thomas is an award-winning actress, writer, producer, and director known for creating prestige independent films featuring complex roles for women.
Sarah wrote, produced, and starred in her latest film, "A Call to Spy", alongside Stana Katic, Radhika Apte, and Linus Roache, playing legendary American spy Virginia Hall. The WWII feature, released by IFC Films domestically, won numerous awards, including an Anti-Defamation League Award and several "Audience Choice" awards. The film was released internationally to critical acclaim, with the BBC calling it the "Hidden Figures of the spy world".
Sarah's previous feature was the groundbreaking "Equity", a female-driven Wall Street thriller. She created the concept, co-wrote the story, produced, and starred in the film, which premiered in Dramatic Competition at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival and sold to Sony Pictures Classics. Sarah received several awards for her performance, including a Women's Image Network Award, Creative Coalition Spotlight Award, and Voice of A Woman Award.
Sarah has also appeared in various television shows, including "Law and Order, SVU", and starred in numerous Off-Broadway productions, including a gender-bending "Love's Labour's Lost" where she played Berowne(a). She was the spokeswoman for The New York Times "weekender" commercials and starred in the romance-drama "Backwards" opposite James Van Der Beek.
In her personal life, Sarah is an accomplished athlete, enjoying a variety of sports from basketball to yoga. She graduated with honors from Williams College and trained as an actress at RADA and Drama Studio London.
Sarah resides in downtown New York City with her husband, son Christopher, and daughter Madison.
