Sarah resided in Deptford, a district located in the southeastern region of London, and began her educational journey at St Joseph's Primary school in East Greenwich when she was eight years old. During her time at the school, she frequently took on leading roles in school productions, and her mother ensured she was adequately equipped for her performances.
At the age of ten, the deputy head of St Joseph's encouraged Sarah to apply for The Sylvia Young School of Dance & Drama, as he was the teacher responsible for directing the school plays. Following the conclusion of year five, Sarah left St Joseph's to join Sylvia Young in September of 1993, marking the beginning of her formal training in the performing arts.
Upon graduating, Sarah joined the company of the acclaimed production of Sunday in the Park With George, where she portrayed the character of Celeste 1 at the Menier Chocolate Factory, which later transferred to the Wyndham's Theatre in the West End. Prior to this, she had already gained experience in the theatre world, having participated in the Sondheim 75th Gala at Drury Lane.
Sarah's television credits are extensive, featuring a range of characters including Alison Peters in EastEnders, Samantha and Julie in Little Britain, Jess in Casualty, Keeley Porter in Hope and Glory (series 1, 2, and 3),herself in The Fame Game, Annabell in Anything's Possible, Sarah in Chalk, Zara in The Biz, Chelsea Fenton in Club Dad, and Rebecca Wade in I Hate This House.
In addition to her television work, Sarah also had the opportunity to play the lead role of Anna in the feature film Ashes and Sand.
