Sarah Brooks was born in Chicago, Illinois, to Edward Evans, a postal service coordinator and civil engineer in the Army Reserves, and Anne Helmers, a daycare owner and retail manager. As the youngest of four siblings, Sarah's family consists of Brent Evans, who is deceased, Katie Evans, also deceased, and Justin, a mechanical engineer, who shares a similar heritage as Sarah, being of English, German, and Welsh descent.
Receiving her Bachelor of Science degree from Arizona State University, Sarah focused her studies on Middle Eastern and International Affairs. Her personal connection to Israel, where she spent her summers as a child, played a significant role in shaping her academic pursuits. Following her graduation, Sarah returned to Chicago to pursue a career in theatre.
Subsequently, Sarah relocated to Los Angeles, where she was accepted and awarded a full scholarship to Steppenwolf West's 2014 program. This prestigious opportunity further honed her skills and prepared her for a successful career in the entertainment industry. Sarah's talents eventually led her to New York City, where she collaborated with renowned director Deborah Hedwall and appeared in various off-Broadway productions.
After gaining valuable experience in the Big Apple, Sarah returned to her hometown of Chicago, where she currently resides. Throughout her journey, Sarah has remained committed to her craft, continuously striving to perfect her skills and make a lasting impact in the world of theatre.
