Sara Niemietz is a sonic storyteller who has traveled to 40 countries, carrying her music in a suitcase and guitar, with over 30 million views on social media, fostering a close-knit community of listeners through her highly interactive approach.
When the pandemic brought the world to a standstill, Sara learned to improvise, releasing her "twentytwenty" album during the lockdown, which landed on the Billboard Albums chart.
With canceled show dates and newfound free time, Sara dedicated herself to creating new music and videos, collaborating remotely with musician Linda Taylor, whom she met while performing with Tony-winner Jason Robert Brown, and together they crafted her newest album, Superman.
Reflecting on her creative process, Sara states, "I love to reach. Whether it's language, technology, or literature, I'm always looking to expand my palate and stretch the boundaries of what I can create. During the last few years, touring vanished, and I was left with plenty of time on my hands... that time brought this album to life."
Throughout her career, Sara has shone on Broadway, starring in Carol Burnett's Hollywood Arms, and has been a first-call vocalist for Disney, Queen Sugar, Under the Dome, The Exorcism of Emily Rose, and Postmodern Jukebox, with collaborations resulting in numerous singles and albums.
She has performed at The Grand Ole Opry, Radio City Music Hall, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, and MTV UK, and has expanded her musical scope to blues-tinged ballads, indie rock, and more, all of which are combined in her newest release, Superman, featuring 14 tracks of vibrant and virtuosic music.
The album will be accompanied by extensive touring and alternate singles sung in Chinese, which Sara has previously studied.
