Sandra Lahnsteiner, an Austrian freeskier, has successfully juggled two careers simultaneously: that of an athlete and a filmmaker. Her pioneering work in the industry began in 2010 with the release of the first-ever "all girls ski movie," which catapulted her to greater heights.
Throughout her illustrious career, Sandra has had the privilege of skiing on six continents, earning numerous nominations and awards for her exceptional performance as an athlete. She was a nominee for Best Female Freeride in 2013 and 2014, and received the Femme Fatale Award in 2014, as well as the Line of the Year Award in 2015. Additionally, she was a nominee for Best Female Performance in 2016.
Beyond her accomplishments as an athlete, Sandra has developed a thriving career in filmmaking, with her "Shades of Winter" films garnering numerous awards. She is one of the most experienced athletes when it comes to big mountain skiing and filming. Her unique ability to feature the best female freeski and surfing athletes from around the world in her movies has not only established her as a standout in the industry but also provided a high-quality platform for athletes and sponsors to showcase their talents.
Sandra's passion for skiing and the mountains, combined with her exceptional managing skills, creativity, and constant search for inspiring images and stories, has made her "Shades of Winter" films one of the largest and most respected freeski film productions to date.
In 2013, Sandra entered into a co-production agreement with Red Bull Media House, ensuring a high-level production quality and global distribution for her films. This partnership has further solidified her position as a leader in the freeski film industry.
