Samantha Stark is a highly accomplished Director/Producer, currently leading the charge on the critically acclaimed series "The New York Times Presents" on FX and Hulu, having previously worked on the same platform with "The Weekly", its inaugural iteration. Prior to this, she held the esteemed position of staff video journalist at The New York Times, where she showcased her versatility by shooting and editing short documentaries and video series that captivated audiences worldwide.
With a penchant for stories that celebrate the human spirit and the triumphs of the human experience, Samantha has been fortunate enough to collaborate with a diverse range of fascinating individuals, including a teenager who underwent groundbreaking DNA rewriting, a courageous clothes dyer who helped children escape persecution by forging passports, a 92-year-old beauty pageant debutante, and, of course, the iconic pop sensation, Britney Spears.
Throughout her illustrious career, Samantha has garnered numerous prestigious accolades, including Emmy and World Press Photo awards, as well as a Peabody award nomination. Additionally, she has shared her expertise by teaching video storytelling at the esteemed Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY.
