Sam's journey in the world of dance began with his early training at The Boston Ballet, where he honed his skills alongside some of the best in the business. Following his time with the ballet, he further developed his craft at the prestigious North Carolina School of the Arts.
After completing his high school education, Sam made the bold decision to leave his hometown of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and relocate to Brooklyn, New York. It was here that he enrolled at the Atlantic Theater Conservatory, where he had the privilege of studying under the guidance of renowned directors David Mamet and William H. Macy.
Sam's early foray into the world of television saw him land roles on two separate sitcoms, as well as a pilot project helmed by the acclaimed director Barry Levinson. This experience ultimately led him to make the move to Los Angeles, where he was cast as the first character for a pilot project produced by the esteemed Laura Ziskin. The show, titled Three Moons Over Milford, premiered in 2006 and received mixed reviews, but Sam's performance as the young man of the house earned him critical acclaim from both The Hollywood Reporter and Variety.
Sam's subsequent role in the play "Dead End" at the Ahmanson Theater brought him to the attention of industry professionals, leading to a recurring role on the CW series Runaway, as well as a pilot project directed by the acclaimed Guy Ritchie. His performance on the hit medical drama ER, opposite Oscar nominee Adriana Barraza, showcased his ability to portray a tough, blue-collar character while still maintaining a strong sense of vulnerability.
These opportunities have allowed Sam to continue working in a wide range of roles throughout the last five years, solidifying his position as a talented and versatile actor in the entertainment industry.
