Salvatore Samperi, a visionary director and accomplished writer, entered the world on July 26, 1943, in the picturesque city of Padua, situated in the Veneto region of Italy. Throughout his illustrious career, he left an indelible mark on the film industry, with notable works including the thought-provoking "Malicious" (1973),the poignant "Ernesto" (1979),and the provocative "Smell of Flesh" (1974).
In his personal life, Samperi was married to the lovely Francesca Bardella, with whom he shared a deep and abiding love. Unfortunately, his life was cut short when he passed away on March 5, 2009, in the charming town of Trevignano Romano, located in the Lazio region of Italy.
