Ryan's journey in the world of acting began in Tillsonburg, Ontario, where he eventually made his way to Toronto to pursue his passion at the esteemed Humber College, specifically in the Acting for Film and Television program. Upon graduating in 2006, he embarked on a successful trajectory in the realm of sketch comedy, his studies at The Second City serving as a catalyst for his growth.
As he honed his craft, Ryan embarked on a North American tour, garnering widespread recognition and earning multiple award nominations, including a Canadian Comedy Award. The summer of 2018 marked a significant milestone in his career, as he wrote, produced, and starred in the critically acclaimed production "False East" at the Toronto Fringe Festival. Critics praised the show, dubbing it "smart, funny, and beautifully acted" - a testament to Ryan's exceptional talent.
