His journey to fame began with the creation of visually striking music video clips for esteemed artists such as Elton John, Duran Duran, The Buggles, and Bonnie Tyler. Mulcahy's impressive portfolio soon expanded to feature films, commencing with the comedy Derek and Clive Get the Horn in 1979.
