Russell Harvard, a third-generation Deaf individual from Texas, embarked on his film career with a pivotal role in Paul Thomas Anderson's Academy Award-winning film "There Will Be Blood" as the son of Daniel Day-Lewis' character, H.W.
He went on to star in the multi-award-winning film "The Hammer," playing the title role, and more recently, portrayed Jennifer Lawrence's brother in Apple TV+'s "Causeway."
On television, Russell had a significant recurring role as the menacing Mr. Wrench in FX's "Fargo" and appeared in ABC Family's "Switched at Birth," as well as making guest appearances in "Odd Mom Out," "Fringe," and "CSI: NY."
Russell has made a lasting impact on the stage, where he has played dual roles in Aaron Sorkin's Broadway production of "To Kill a Mockingbird." He also starred in Playwrights Horizons' "I Was Most Alive with You," earning Drama Desk and Lucille Lortel nominations.
In addition, he played the role of the Duke of Cornwall opposite Glenda Jackson in Sam Gold's groundbreaking production of "King Lear." His off-Broadway debut in 2012 was in "Tribes," which earned him a Theatre World award and nominations from the Drama League, Outer Critics, and Lucille Lortel.
Russell has a long history with renowned Deaf West Theatre and co-founded Deaf Austin Theatre (DAT),where he recently starred in their production of "Tiny Beautiful Things."
Furthermore, Russell has gained a significant online following due to his exceptional skills in translating and performing popular songs in American Sign Language, covering a wide range of genres, from rock and dance to Broadway favorites.
