Biography

Russell's journey into the world of acting began when his communications instructor at Toronto's Seneca College encouraged him to pursue a career in the field. This pivotal moment led him to audition for a summer program at the University of Toronto, in collaboration with Theatre Ontario, where he was selected to participate.

Following the conclusion of the program, Russell ventured to Los Angeles for a year, where he engaged in private studies and theatre performances. Upon his return to Toronto, he spent three years honing his craft at a private acting studio, where he was mentored in classical studies, exploring genres such as Italian Comedia, Comedy Francais, British Farce, and Drama.

After a brief stint in performing, Russell returned to studying at the renowned "Second City," where he completed their six-level program in improvisation. In 2004, he was one of three male actors chosen from across Canada to participate in the prestigious private program, "Women in the Directors Chair," at the Banff Arts Centre.

Throughout his illustrious career, Russell has had the privilege of working alongside esteemed directors and actors, including James Cameron, Paul W.S.
