Biography

Roy, born in Buffalo, New York, with Thai heritage, began his acting career at the Walnut Street Theater in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, concurrently pursuing a medical degree in Radiation Oncology at UCLA. During this time, he trained extensively with renowned Hollywood coaches Kate McGregor-Stewart, Joe Palese, and Amy Lyndon.

Throughout his career, Roy has made significant contributions to the film and television industry, notably appearing in the Warner Bros. feature film "The Bucket List" alongside Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman, as well as securing recurring roles on "The Shield" and "Scandal". He has also acted in several critically acclaimed projects, including the lead role in the Emmy-nominated New Media production "Stranger Adventures" and the film "Juche Rules", for which he received a nomination for Best Actor at the American International Film Festival.

In addition to his work in film and television, Roy is highly active in the theater scene, originating roles in the Ovation Award-winning "Watching OJ" at Ensemble Studio Theater/LA, the Ovation-recommended "Man of God" at East West Players, and the lead character Yesu in the original musical "Son of Man" from Ezekiel Theater Company.

Roy's production company, Resonant Entertainment LLC, has produced numerous award-winning films, earning over 35 film festival acceptances and multiple wins. Resonant's first feature film, "After the Rain", has been picked up by Amazon Prime for domestic and international release.
