A 1985 graduate of the prestigious Academy for Theater and Film in Bucharest, Romania, Roxana had the privilege of being mentored by the esteemed actor Dem Radulescu. Prior to joining the esteemed State Jewish Theater of Bucharest, TES, in 1989, Roxana honed her craft on stage in Botosani, Romania, where she developed her skills as a performer.
Upon joining TES, Roxana took on a diverse range of roles in musicals and dramas, showcasing her versatility as an actress. She brought to life characters in productions written by renowned playwrights such as Carlo Goldoni, Bertolt Brecht, August Strindberg, Elie Wiesel, Lion Feuchtwanger, Ellen Kaplan, Jacob Gordin, M. Ghershensohn, and Isaac Bashevis Singer, among others.
Roxana's performances were skillfully guided by a roster of accomplished directors, including Harry Eliad, Moshe Yassur, Alexander Hausvater, and Catalina Buzoianu, among others. As a member of TES, Roxana had the unique opportunity to perform in both Romanian and Yiddish, further expanding her linguistic and cultural range as a performer.
