Ross M. Dinerstein is the founder and chief executive officer of Campfire, a prominent film and television production company that has garnered recognition for its work with Netflix, impressive performances at film festivals, and versatility in spanning multiple genres and mediums. With an extensive filmmaking career spanning fourteen years, Dinerstein has produced or executive produced an impressive forty films, comprising both narrative films and documentaries.
Dinerstein's films have premiered at some of the most prestigious film festivals globally, including the Sundance Film Festival, South by Southwest, Tribeca Film Festival, and the Toronto International Film Festival. Over the past three and a half years, Dinerstein and Campfire have collaborated with Netflix on seven Netflix Original Films, including the critically acclaimed 1922, based on the Stephen King novella of the same name. Their latest collaboration with Netflix, Rattlesnake, is currently in post-production.
Campfire has emerged as a leader in the production of premium non-fiction films and series. Some of their recent notable films include Jiro Dreams of Sushi, Silicon Cowboys, Love & Bananas, and The Nightmare. On the series side, Campfire produced the Netflix Original Documentary series, The Innocent Man, an adaptation of John Grisham's only non-fiction book.
Dinerstein began his career in 2001, working in the acquisitions department at Miramax Films. He holds a Master's Degree in Motion Picture Producing from the USC School of Cinema and Television's Peter Stark Producing Program and an undergraduate degree in Economics and Film Studies from Vanderbilt University. Born and raised in Houston, Texas, Dinerstein currently resides in Venice, California.
