Ross Anderson was born on July 15th, 1987, in Paisley, Scotland, a city located in the west central Lowlands of Scotland. He grew up in the small harbour town of Bo'ness, situated in West Lothian, Scotland, which is a local government council area that forms part of the Scottish Central Belt. Anderson is the eldest of six brothers, indicating that he has a strong sense of family and has likely developed important social skills from a young age.
Anderson's academic pursuits took him to Drama Centre London, where he enrolled in 2008 and later left a year early in 2010, after being cast in the National Theatre of Scotland's Olivier Award-winning production of "Black Watch". This prestigious production not only showcased Anderson's acting talents but also marked a significant milestone in his early career.
Anderson's television debut came in the form of the BBC One series "Privates", in which he played the role of Lomax. He then made his film debut in the Eon-produced "The Silent Storm" (2014),opposite Andrea Riseborough and Damian Lewis, which premiered at the 2014 BFI London Film Festival. His subsequent film credits include "Unbroken" (2014),opposite Jack O'Connell, and "Macbeth" (2015),alongside Michael Fassbender.
In addition to his film work, Anderson has also appeared in the Paramount summer blockbuster "Crawl" (2019),starring alongside Kaya Scodelario and Barry Pepper, and the Netflix series "The Last Kingdom" (2022). His most recent feature credit is the film "Seven Kings Must Die" (2023).
