Rosie Tisch, a native of San Diego, California, initially had a career that was marked by a sense of normalcy and predictability. However, this all changed in 2013 when she became embroiled in a scandal that sent shockwaves throughout the Los Angeles-area Republican Party.
Tisch's involvement in this scandal stemmed from her decision to "out" her longtime financial benefactor, David Cole, also known as David Abravanel Stein, as a well-known Holocaust revisionist. This revelation led to widespread media coverage, with stories appearing in prominent newspapers such as The Guardian, online news sites like The Huffington Post, and television networks like MSNBC.
As Cole/Stein was a prominent figure in the Republican Party and a member of the secretive Hollywood conservative group "Friends of Abe," which was founded by notable celebrities such as Gary Sinise, Clint Eastwood, Jon Voight, and Kelsey Grammer, Tisch's revelations caused significant embarrassment to all parties involved. Moreover, her actions inadvertently gave a platform to Holocaust denial and revisionism.
As of May 2015, Tisch and her husband, Robert Maxhimer, who works as an art crating manager, reside in the Eagle Rock neighborhood of Los Angeles, which is situated near Glendale.
