Biography

Ronan Vibert, a talented character actor, was born in Cambridgeshire, England, to a family of artists. His parents, David Vibert and Dilys Jackson, instilled in him a love for the arts from a young age. Vibert spent his early years in Penarth, South Wales, before moving to London to pursue his passion for acting.

He attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) and graduated in 1985. After completing his studies, Vibert began his acting career on the stage, performing in various productions, including "The Snow Queen," "Peer Gynt," "Uncle Vanya," and "War and Peace." He worked with several prominent theater companies, including the Manchester Royal Exchange, the Bristol Old Vic, and the National Theatre.

Vibert's strong facial features and excellent speaking voice made him a versatile actor, capable of playing a wide range of roles. He was particularly known for his ability to portray intense, dramatic characters, often with a darker or more sinister edge. His performances were often compared to those of the late Alan Rickman, known for his own mastery of playing complex, nuanced characters.

Throughout his career, Vibert appeared in numerous television shows and films, playing a diverse range of characters. He was often cast in period dramas, where he could draw upon his extensive knowledge of history and culture. Some of his notable roles include Giovanni Sforza in "The Borgias," Sir Geoffrey Hawkes in "Penny Dreadful," and Perry Cline in "Hatfields & McCoys."

In addition to his work in television and film, Vibert was also a talented musician. He was the lead singer in a band and enjoyed playing music in his free time. Vibert's passion for music and acting was evident in his performances, which were often marked by his strong sense of commitment and dedication.

Despite his many accomplishments, Vibert remained humble and grounded throughout his career. He was known for his kindness and generosity, and was well-respected by his colleagues and fans alike. Vibert's legacy continues to inspire and influence new generations of actors, and his performances will be remembered for years to come.

Vibert passed away on December 22, 2022, at the age of 58, after a brief illness. He is survived by his family and friends, and his memory will live on through his remarkable body of work.
