Since then, he has directed and/or written numerous award-winning theatrical feature films and television ratings hits for prominent studios such as Warner Brothers, Fox, Universal, and The Walt Disney Company.
Oliver's Hallmark Hall of Fame Christmas movies consistently rank among the highest-rated in the network's history, often appearing on Variety's "Top 25" list. His work on the feature "Falling For Christmas" contributed to its global success, making it the #1 movie on Netflix. Additionally, his motion picture "The Groomsmen: Second Chances" received the prestigious GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding Feature Film in 2025.
As the writer/director of the iconic Nickelodeon series "Are You Afraid of the Dark", Oliver has been recognized for creating one of the "Top Ten Most Frightening TV Shows" ever made.
