Biography

Ron Clinton Smith, a multifaceted American individual, has worn many hats throughout his life. Born on March 19, 1951, in Atlanta, Georgia, he was the son of Harry Raymond Smith, a former Georgia Tech football player and World War II and Korean War P-51 fighter pilot, who tragically passed away when Ron was just 15 years old.

Smith's mother, Theresa Vina Gooch, was a model and homemaker who instilled in her son a love for music from an early age. Ron studied voice in church and high school choirs, and as a teenager, he took up the guitar and played in bands. This early exposure to music laid the foundation for his future endeavors.

Growing up, Ron was also heavily influenced by his father's passion for football. He played the sport from the age of eight to 20, including a stint at Florida State University, where he discovered a newfound love for writing and traveling. This experience would later shape his creative pursuits.

Ron's journey in the entertainment industry began with stand-up comedy, which he discovered through his friend and mentor, Col. Bruce Hampton. This accidental acting teacher introduced Ron to the world of theater, television, and film acting. Throughout his career, Ron has continued to write songs, poems, stories, and screenplays, and in 2012, he published his debut novel, "Creature Storms," a project he worked on for 10 years.

Balancing his writing with film acting, Ron has had a successful career in both fields. In 1987, he married Kathryn Sue Marchant, an artist and accountant, with whom he has two sons, Jeremiah Christian Smith and Sean Dillon Smith. Both sons have followed in their father's entrepreneurial footsteps, establishing themselves as successful marketing entrepreneurs.

Throughout his life, Ron Clinton Smith has remained a creative force, always seeking new ways to express himself through his writing, acting, and music. His unique blend of talents has enabled him to build a successful career and leave a lasting impact on the entertainment industry.
