Biography

Rolfe Kanefsky, a multifaceted filmmaker and writer, hails from the suburbs of New York. He attended Hampshire College, where he studied film and developed a passion for storytelling. Initially, his childhood dream of becoming a clown took a backseat as he became increasingly fascinated with the art of filmmaking.

Kanefsky's writing career began at a young age, and he has since authored an impressive 38 produced screenplays. His debut feature film, "There's Nothing Out There", was released at the age of twenty, and he has since written and directed 27 feature films over the past 30 years.

Notably, Kanefsky has made a significant impact in the horror genre, with films such as "The Black Room", "Party Bus To Hell", "The Hazing", "Jacqueline Hyde", "Corpses", and "Nightmare Man". His work in this genre has earned him two Best Director awards at the Horror, Sci-Fi, Fantasy and The Supernatural Film Festival in Las Vegas and the I.F.F.Y.N.T.X. Festival in Texas.
