Rojda Felat, a senior commander of the Women's Protection Units (YPJ) and Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF),was born either around 1977 or 1980, with her exact birthdate remaining unclear.
Since the outbreak of the Rojava conflict in 2012, Felat has been actively involved in the fighting, leading numerous major campaigns against the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).
