Biography

Roger Barton's remarkable career in the film industry spans decades, with a diverse range of projects that have showcased his exceptional editing skills.

He began his editorial career working on documentaries and TV movies, including the Emmy award-winning "Indictment: The McMartin Trial". This early experience laid the foundation for his transition to motion pictures, where he quickly made a name for himself as a talented editor.

In 1997, Barton worked as an Associate Editor on the decade's biggest blockbuster, "Titanic", cementing his status as a rising star in the industry. He continued to hone his skills, working on films such as "Armageddon" and "Gone in 60 Seconds" at Jerry Bruckheimer Films.

Barton's impressive resume boasts a long list of collaborations with some of Hollywood's most renowned directors, including Michael Bay, George Lucas, the Wachowski Brothers, Jim Sheridan, and Joe Carnahan. His work on films such as "Pearl Harbor", "Bad Boys 2", "The Island", and the "Transformers" franchise has earned him a reputation as a versatile and skilled editor.

In addition to his work on feature films, Barton has also edited several documentaries and TV movies, including "Star Wars: Episode III" and "Speed Racer". His ability to adapt to different genres and styles has made him a sought-after editor in the industry.
