Biography of Roberta Shore:
Roberta Jymme Schourup, later known as Roberta Shore, was born on April 7, 1943, in Monterey Park, California. She began her career in the entertainment industry at the age of ten, singing country western songs at supermarket openings with Tex Williams, who later invited her to join his weekly TV show at Knotts Berry Farm.
She adopted the stage name "Jymme Shore" and subsequently joined The Pinky Lee Show, a popular children's television program at the time. Shore's breakthrough role came when Disney Studios hired her as a love interest for Annette Funicello in several Disney productions, including the TV series Annette and the feature film The Shaggy Dog.
Shore's career continued to grow, with appearances on various TV shows, including Father Knows Best, The Bob Cummings Show, and The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet. She also played the role of "Betsy Garth" on the TV series The Virginian for three seasons.
Shore's film credits include A Summer Place, Blue Denim, and Because They're Young. However, she eventually left the entertainment industry in 1965 to focus on raising her family. She and her husband, Ron Frederickson, moved to Salt Lake City, where she worked as a disc jockey on a local radio station in the 1980s.
Decades later, Shore was cast in the 2003 film The Book of Mormon Movie, Volume 1: The Journey, alongside her husband, who played the role of Ishmael. She has since worked as a manufacturer's rep for a furniture business.
