Robert L. Parker III, a renowned director, was born in Memphis, Tennessee in 1972. His literary journey began in high school, where he developed his writing style by studying literature. He went on to write numerous books, including "The Awakening Of A Troubled Mind", "Making It Happen", and "A Corrupted World!".
Parker's passion for the performing arts led him to attend Shelby State Community College from 2001 to 2003, where he participated in stage plays. This experience sparked his desire to create his own projects, which ultimately led him to venture into the music industry in 2005.
As a music manager, Parker toured the world with major label acts, including his own son, Christen "Lil Chris" Parker. In 2010, Robert and his family appeared on the ABC Reality Show "Wife Swap", which was later acquired by the Lifetime Network and aired millions of times.
Despite his success in music, Parker's true passion lay in filmmaking. He attended the New York Film Academy in New York City to hone his skills and develop his own films. His debut screenwriting effort, "A Troubled Mind", was majorly distributed by Maverick Entertainment Worldwide.
Undeterred by his success, Parker continued to write and direct, producing his second film, "Moma's Spirit", which is now available, and his third, "The Come Up", set to hit theaters in the fall of 2016. His fourth film, "The Struggle", was released in 2019.
