Robert J. Locke, Jr. is a prolific producer, director, and actor who has made a significant impact in the entertainment industry. He is best known for producing the first Olympic freestyle wrestling documentary, "Journey Into Freestyle Wrestling", which premiered at the AFM in 2004.
Locke has also produced and starred in several other films and documentaries, including the cult classic "Legend of Bloody Mary" and the ensemble comedy web series "Schoooled". He has worked with a wide range of talented individuals, including Olympic Gold Medalists, UFC Champions, and renowned actors.
In addition to his work in film and television, Locke is a passionate advocate for community gardening and has produced a documentary on agroecology, the study of organic farming. He is also a co-founder of The Bliss St. Repertory Theatre company in New York City and has directed and produced numerous plays off-Broadway and off-off-Broadway.
Locke's early life was marked by a passion for wrestling, which he pursued at a high level, earning a Massachusetts State freestyle wrestling championship and a wrestling scholarship to college. He later studied acting at Central Connecticut State University and went on to intern at the prestigious Circle Repertory Company, where he was mentored by some of the industry's top acting teachers.
Today, Locke is putting the finishing touches on his latest documentary, "Journey Into Freestyle Wrestling 2", which features a star-studded cast of Olympic athletes and wrestling legends. He is also a devoted father to his three daughters, Jemma, Olivia, and fiancé Laura.
