Biography

Bob Heske is a multi-talented individual with a wide range of creative pursuits. He is a filmmaker, screenwriter, producer, casting director, actor, published graphic novelist, and indie comic creator, having won numerous awards for his work.

Bob is currently working on an experimental documentary called "Afraid of Nothing", which showcases his versatility as a storyteller.

One of his most notable projects is "Blessid", a low-budget drama dedicated to his mother, Carlotta Heske, who passed away during the film's post-production. The film received critical acclaim, winning several awards, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Cinematography, Best Lead Actor, and an Award of Excellence.

Bob has also collaborated with other filmmakers, writing and producing the festival-winning short film "Alibi" directed by Noni Salma Lawal, and "Waiting", a feature film starring Richard Schiff, Izabella Miko, and W. Earl Brown, directed by Lisa Demaine.

In addition to his work in film, Bob is also a published author, having written and illustrated several graphic novels, including "The Night Projectionist", "Bone Chiller", "2012: Final Prayer", "Cold Blooded Chillers: Tales of Suburban Murder and Malice", and contributing to various anthologies.

As a member of the New England Horror Writers Association, Bob's favorite genre is horror, but he has also written in other genres, including animation, comedy, drama, fantasy, sci-fi, suspense/thriller, and more.

Bob lives in the oldest house in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts, with his wife Angela, two daughters Carly and Emily, and their golden doodle, Tedy. The house has a rich history, and Bob has even captured a paranormal event on a YouTube video, which has gained popularity on the "Paranormal Report" video podcast.

Throughout his career, Bob has been a guest on various comic book, filmmaking, and paranormal podcasts, and continues to work on new projects, including un-produced scripts such as "Unrest", "Here Before I Go", "Love Stupid", and "Mighty Lemming", which he hopes to see come to life.

Interestingly, Bob's father, Edward E. Heske, briefly worked with Bob Crane, the star of "Hogan's Heroes", in 1951 at WLIZ in Bridgeport, Connecticut, where both of Bob's parents attended Bridgeport University.
