Here is the biography of Robert Coffie:
Robert Coffie, a renowned magician, was born in 1970 in Upland, California, to parents Bob and Josie. He started performing magic at the tender age of eight, after his father performed a silk vanish and a lit cigarette vanish in his shirt. This sparked his passion for magic, and he began performing for family and friends.
As a young boy, Robert's parents noticed his exceptional finger dexterity and enrolled him in piano lessons. However, when his piano teacher moved to France, his parents struggled to find a new teacher, and Robert's piano lessons came to an end. Instead, he discovered his talent for coloring and drawing, and his parents hired a private art tutor. However, Robert's love for magic continued to grow, and he eventually stopped drawing and painting.
At the age of 17, Robert discovered a magic shop in Montclair, California, known as The House of Humor. He visited the shop every day after school, spending his lunch money on magic props and books. It was during this time that he met Donnie Ferguson, an associate at the shop, who introduced him to Harry Blackstone Jr.
Blackstone, a professional magician, noticed Robert's passion for magic and began teaching him simple tricks. Robert was fascinated by Blackstone's skills and attended his magic show, "The Magic and Music." After the show, Blackstone performed a trick for Robert, which involved picking a card and replacing it in the deck. The selected card ended up in Blackstone's coat pocket, leaving Robert amazed.
Robert and Blackstone became close friends, and Robert would visit Blackstone's house in Redlands, California. During his teenage years, Robert performed magic for birthdays, churches, schools, and country clubs. He eventually moved to Yucca Valley, California, and opened a magic shop, which Blackstone would visit from time to time.
When Robert moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, he struggled to find work, but he continued to visit every magic shop he could. He attended the magicians' awards as a special guest and met the famous magician and comedian Billy McComb, who taught him card techniques. Robert also met Michael Moschen, a renowned magician, at the Excalibur Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.
Throughout his career, Robert has appeared in numerous films and TV shows, including "Cowboys & Indians," "American Muscle," and "12 Corazones." He has also walked the red carpet with well-known stars, including Quentin Tarantino, Halle Berry, and Kiss. With over 30 years of experience, Robert is considered one of the finest performers in the art of magic.
