Robert's life began in Atlanta, where his journey as a performer first unfolded as a teenage bassist for the renowned RuPaul, concurrently pursuing his passion for acting at the esteemed Northside School of the Performing Arts.
Following a brief sojourn in Athens, Georgia, Robert relocated to New York City, where he soon secured a position as the bassist for the globe-trotting garage rockers The Fleshtones.
As the 1990s dawned, Robert revisited his acting roots, securing the coveted role of Buddy Holly in the London West End and UK Tour of Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story.
Returning to New York City, Robert recorded and self-released his debut CD,...to this day, which garnered widespread acclaim in Billboard, The New York Times, and Mojo, as well as a prominent feature on The World Cafe.
Robert's creative collaborations continued to flourish, as he co-wrote a song with the esteemed Rosanne Cash, which appeared on her Grammy-nominated album "Rules Of Travel." He also had the privilege of performing with and writing songs for the legendary Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Wanda Jackson.
In 2002, Robert made the decision to relocate to the Catskills, where he devoted himself to raising his son. As his son grew older, Robert gradually returned to performing, initially as the beloved children's entertainer Uncle Rock, and subsequently as an actor.
Robert's artistic pursuits extend beyond the realm of music, as he is also a prolific writer. His debut novel is set to be published by The Story Plant in February 2016.
