Ricky Starks is a renowned American professional wrestler, whose impressive career has spanned numerous independent promotions, including Anarchy Championship Wrestling, Inspire Pro Wrestling, NWA Branded Outlaw Wrestling, Saint Louis Anarchy, VIP Wrestling, and many more. Additionally, he has gained recognition for his recent work with WWE, where he has appeared on both Raw and Smackdown brands, showcasing his skills in the ring and making notable appearances in backstage segments.
As a young boy, Starks idolized professional wrestlers such as The Undertaker and Mankind, and by the age of seven, he had made up his mind to pursue a career in professional wrestling. His early career was marked by his debut on October 21, 2012, at ACW Beyond Good And Evil, where he participated in a dark match for the ACW U-30 Young Gun Championship against Carson.
Starks continued to make a name for himself in Anarchy Championship Wrestling, where he wrestled his first mixed singles match against Barbi Hayden on November 12, 2012, at ACW Showtime's Birthday Bash. In the following year, he was involved in a Four-Way Elimination match for the ACW Heavyweight Championship, alongside Jack Jameson, Jason Silver, and defending champion Evan Gelistico, at ACW Live At The FunFunFun Fest on November 8, 2013.
Starks' journey in ACW saw him meet Evan Gelistico in a rematch for the ACW Heavyweight Title on November 10, 2013, but unfortunately, he was defeated. However, he bounced back, defeating Jason Silver and Jojo Bravo in a Three-Way match during the first round of the Lone Star Classic on November 17, 2013. He advanced to the Semi-Final, where he was eliminated by Davey Vega.
On June 29, 2014, Starks won a Gauntlet match at ACW The 6th Annual American Joshi Queen Of Queens Tournament, securing the Number One Contender spot for the ACW Hardcore Championship. He went on to challenge Barrett Brown for the title but ultimately did not succeed. Starks, however, continued to push forward, defeating Barrett Brown in a title rematch on November 16, 2014, at ACW 9th Annual Lone Star Classic, becoming the ACW Hardcore Champion and claiming his first title. He successfully defended the title on December 14, 2014, at ACW Delusions Of Our Childish Days 2014, in a Four-Way Elimination match against Barrett Brown, Gregory James, and Kyle Hawk.
