Richard Ulfsäter's life journey began in Helsingborg, Sweden, where he took his first breath, only to have his parents relocate to London, England, shortly after. This move would set the stage for his future, as he spent his formative years in Surrey, attending school and developing a strong foundation for his future endeavors.
As he entered his teenage years, Richard made the decision to return to Sweden, where he would complete the last years of his A-level studies. This move proved to be a pivotal moment in his life, as it allowed him to refine his skills and lay the groundwork for his future pursuits.
Following his graduation, Richard embarked on a journey of self-discovery, spending a year in Munich, Germany, honing his language skills and learning the intricacies of the German culture. This experience was followed by a year in Toulouse, France, where he immersed himself in the French language and way of life.
Throughout his years abroad, Richard developed a profound appreciation for the performing arts, which ultimately led him to pursue a career in drama. After graduating from 'Scenstudion' in Stockholm, a prestigious drama school led by the esteemed Matthew Allen from the Neighbourhood Playhouse in New York, Richard began to make a name for himself in the entertainment industry.
His breakthrough came with the comedy series Playa Del Sol in 2007, followed by the feature film Darling, which received critical acclaim and was voted the best film since the millennium shift in 2010. Today, Richard resides in both Stockholm and London, a testament to his global perspective and his ability to thrive in diverse environments.
