Richard Lund, a seasoned professional with a 28-year background in film and television, made the bold transition to the "other side of the camera" in 2007. Prior to this, he had spent over two decades crafting translite backgrounds for more than 200 feature films, including some of his personal favorites such as Ghostbusters, Ruby Cairo, What Women Want, Spiderman, and Ironman.
The tumultuous labor landscape in Hollywood presented Lund with an opportunity to reinvent himself as an actor. Leveraging his youthful appearance and uncanny resemblance to a famous wizard, he has since made a dozen appearances in student shorts for various film school directors. He has also secured voice-over work as the Storyteller in ten episodes of Kahani World's Raju the Rickshaw video series, and plays a recurring role as Professor Ludwig von Gradeshard in a webisode series about college life.
In addition to his acting endeavors, Lund has recorded an audiobook and is currently undergoing voice-over training under the guidance of Dan Balestrero. He recently took on a featured role in the chorus for the pilot open of Super True Story and appeared in an indie feature called Buffalo Son.
As a member of the American Society of Pharmacognosy, Lund engages in educational podcasting and public speaking. He is also the co-host of a comedy podcast called Hwy 61 Filling Station, which he describes as "grey humor" – a unique blend of Hee Haw and Fargo, sans scary elements. Lund's interests extend beyond the entertainment industry, as he is also passionate about plant medicine.
A devoted father of four and grandfather of two, Lund resides in Van Nuys, California, with his wife Terri.
