Richard Lett is a renowned stand-up comedian with a career spanning over three decades. He has headlined comedy clubs, toured nationally, and has performed alongside notable comedians such as Chris Rock, Dave Chappelle, Robin Williams, Tommy Chong, Janeane Garofalo, and Zach Galifianakis.
In addition to his comedy career, Richard is also a talented writer, director, and producer. He has written and directed almost thirty of his own plays, and has been involved in various projects, including acting with Jessica Alba and appearing on the hit TV series "Supernatural".
Richard has also been open about his personal struggles, including battling cancer, alcoholism, and drug addiction. He has used his experiences to create solo shows, including "Sober But Never Clean", which he has performed over sixty times to rave reviews and standing ovations. Richard's latest solo show, "One Nut Only", is about his journey with testicular cancer and premiered in Vancouver in May 2018. In addition to his comedy and writing, Richard is also a skilled slam poet. He has performed at various poetry slams, including the Vancouver Poetry Slam finals in 2008, and won the Toronto's 2013 Grand Slam Poet Champ title and the 2013 Toronto Poetry Slam Team. He has also competed at the National Poetry Slam in Boston and won the Toronto's 2013 Word On The Street Slam.
Richard's comedy can regularly be heard on Sirius XM radio, and he has also been the sidekick and co-host of Canadian TV and film icon Frank D'Angelo for four seasons. He currently lives in Vancouver, where he continues to perform stand-up, poetry, and music, and has also started a photography business, with his portrait photography being showcased on Instagram @richardlettphoto.
