Biography

Richard Hatch, a renowned performer, was born in Santa Monica, California, USA, and began studying classical piano at the tender age of eight, with a clear vision of pursuing a career as a performer before he even reached his teenage years.

After attending Harbor College in San Pedro, he joined a Los Angeles repertory company, which took him on a journey to New York City in 1967. During his time with the company, he had the opportunity to perform in various plays, including "Song of Walt Whitman", "Young Rebels", and a production called "Exercise", which he also had the privilege of directing.

Richard's early success in the entertainment industry led to his casting as the original "Philip Brent" in the iconic soap opera "All My Children" in 1970. He later transitioned to television, playing the role of "Inspector Dan Robbins" on the popular series "The Streets of San Francisco" in 1972.

However, it was his portrayal of "Apollo" on the beloved sci-fi series "Battlestar Galactica" in 1978 that cemented his place in the hearts of fans worldwide, making him best remembered for this iconic role.
