Born in 1989, Richard's early life was shaped by his working-class upbringing in the mining town of Doncaster, South Yorkshire. As a young individual, he was influenced by the community's strong sense of resilience and determination.
Following his secondary education, Richard pursued his passion for acting by enrolling at High Melton College in Doncaster, where he graduated in 2007. This marked the beginning of his journey towards realizing his dream of becoming a professional actor.
Four years later, in 2010, Richard made the bold decision to relocate to London, seeking new opportunities and challenges in the city's thriving acting scene. It was during this period that he discovered 'The Poor School', a renowned institution dedicated to nurturing the talents of aspiring actors.
After completing his studies at 'The Poor School' in January 2012, Richard's career began to take off. His first major film credit came in the form of 'The Knife That Killed Me', a feature film adaptation of Anthony McGowan's novel of the same name. In this production, Richard played the pivotal role of Kirk, a character that showcased his impressive range as a young actor.
