Richard Clarkin, a talented individual born in Aurora, Ontario, Canada, pursued his passion for the performing arts by graduating from The National Theater School of Canada. Despite his busy schedule in television, he continues to actively participate in numerous theater productions across Canada, showcasing his versatility as an actor. As an ensemble member of The Company Theater of Toronto, he has accumulated an impressive list of theater credits, which rival his television credits in number. Some of his notable theater roles include The Fighting Days, The Price, Waiting For Godot, Sherlock Holmes, Red River Rebellion, VideoCab, The Lion King, and Death of a Salesman, among many others at various theaters across Canada. Additionally, he has explored voice-over work.

Early in his career, Clarkin's aspirations lay in sports broadcasting, and he spent a year working at The C.B.C. However, the acting bug eventually bit, and he joined a theater company, marking the beginning of his successful 20-year-long acting career.

In an interview with theater director Philip Riccio, Richard expressed his profound passion and love for the theater.
