Biography

Ricco Ross is a multi-talented individual who has made a name for himself in the entertainment industry as an award-winning actor, writer, and producer. He is also the CEO of the production company "Can You Dig It". Based in Los Angeles, Ross is a seasoned professional who has had a long and illustrious career, with his first major break coming in the form of recurring roles on the popular TV shows "Hill St. Blues" and "The Young & the Restless".

Born in Chicago, Ross grew up in a large family with 10 siblings, and his early life was marked by a period of poverty, having lived in Pembroke, Illinois, which Oprah Winfrey once referred to as the poorest town in the US. Despite these challenges, Ross went on to pursue his passion for acting, earning a Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).

Ross's early success as an actor led to him feeling typecast, and he decided to take a year-long sabbatical to study Shakespeare at the London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art (LAMDA) in England. This experience had a profound impact on his life and career, and he went on to spend 13 years living and working abroad, working as an actor in London and moonlighting as a model in France and Italy. During this time, he also turned down a lucrative contract to play professional basketball in Cyprus.

Ross's impressive resume boasts a wide range of credits, including roles in films such as "Aliens" and "Mission Impossible", as well as TV shows like "The Practice", "Highlander", "Babylon 5", "Beverly Hills 90210", and "E.R.". He has also worked on several projects behind the camera, including writing and producing the film "A Husband For Christmas", in which he also starred.

Despite his many accomplishments, Ross credits his greatest achievements to his loving wife Julie Shannon Ross and his five amazing children, Aisha, Rami, Makaila, Miles, and his Godson Nicolas. With his many talents and experiences, Ross is confident that his best work is yet to come.
