He embarked on his illustrious career as a production assistant in Miami, before making the bold move to Los Angeles to pursue his passion for filmmaking at the renowned USC Film School.
Throughout his extensive career, Ricardo has worn many hats, including those of a Film Lab technician, Key Grip, Gaffer, and skilled Steadicam operator, accumulating an impressive 10-year tenure in this field.
It was none other than the legendary Roger Corman who provided Ricardo with his first opportunity to shine as a Cinematographer, marking the beginning of a remarkable journey that has taken him to various parts of the world, including Beirut, Greece, Macedonia, Kenya, Norway, Panama, Belize, Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, and the Philippines.
Notably, Ricardo is fluent in Spanish, a testament to his adaptability and dedication to his craft.
Throughout his illustrious career, Ricardo's projects have garnered numerous accolades, including the prestigious François Chalais Award at the Cannes Film Festival and the International Critics Award at the Toronto Film Festival for his work on "West Beirut", as well as Best Cinematography for 'Touching Home'.
