Biography

Rhonda Fleming was born in California and attended Beverly Hills public and private schools. Her father, Harold Cheverton Louis, was born in 1896 and passed away in 1951. Her mother, Effie Olivia Graham, was a famous model and actress in New York, born in 1891 and passed away in 1985.

Rhonda has a son named Kent Lane, two granddaughters named Kimberly and Kelly, and four great-grandchildren named Wagner, Page, Lane, and Cole. She has appeared in over 40 films, including Spellbound, Out of the Past, and The Spiral Staircase, as well as starring roles in A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court, Gunfight at the O.K. Corral, and Home Before Dark.

Rhonda was known for her exquisite beauty, and the camera loved her. She worked with many notable actors, including Gregory Peck, Robert Mitchum, Kirk Douglas, Charlton Heston, Glenn Ford, Burt Lancaster, Bob Hope, Bing Crosby, Rock Hudson, and Ronald Reagan.

In addition to her film career, Rhonda made her Broadway debut in The Women, played the role of Lalume in Kismet at the Los Angeles Music Center, and toured as Madame Dubonnet in The Boyfriend. She also appeared at the Hollywood Bowl in a one-woman concert of Cole Porter and Irving Berlin compositions.

Rhonda has guest-starred on numerous television series, including Wagon Train, Police Woman, The Love Boat, and Last Hours Before Morning. She has also starred in a national ten-week concert tour with Skitch Henderson, featuring the music of George Gershwin.

Rhonda is a member and supporter of several organizations, including Childhelp USA, ARCS, and the Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge. She is also a Founding Member of the French Foundation For Alzheimer Research and a Benefactor of the Los Angeles Music Center.

Rhonda was married to Ted Mann, a producer and chairman of Mann Theatres, for 23 years until his death in 2001. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Center's Blue Ribbon Board of Directors and a Member of the Advisory Board of Olive Crest Treatment Centers for Abused Children.

Rhonda has been involved in various charitable endeavors, including the establishment of the Rhonda Fleming Mann Clinic for Women's Comprehensive Care at UCLA Medical Center and the Rhonda Fleming Mann Resource Center for Women with Cancer.
