Rhett Romsaas was born and raised in South Minneapolis, situated on the border with St. Paul, Minnesota. His early beginnings in the world of acting started with school plays and musicals, where he honed his skills and developed a passion for performing. When not using his remarkable voice to sing or, on occasion, annoy his teachers, Rhett would create unique and memorable characters, which ultimately led him to pursue a career in voice acting.
In 2016, Rhett began his voice acting journey with Hormel Foods, followed by SuperCuts in 2017 and the Minnesota Healthcare directory UCARE & various small commercials in 2018. His ability to bring characters to life with his voice has been a hallmark of his career, and he continues to be sought after for his talents.
Rhett's true loves have always been villains you love to hate and comedy. He started his improv journey in 2007 with the T-Spot, a local public access show shot at the Bryant Lake Bowl Theater. He then further explored the world of improv with the Brave New Workshop in 2008 and continued to develop his skills over the next decade. Rhett has taken numerous classes and has even taught improv to both children and adults, earning him a reputation as a skilled and knowledgeable instructor.
One of Rhett's most notable improv accomplishments is his portrayal of a "bitchy Britney Spears poster in a sad girl's room." This role showcased his impressive range and ability to bring humor to even the most unexpected characters.
In addition to his work in improv, Rhett has a background in films, commercials, TV, and music. He has been involved in over 20 shorts, features, or pilots, and has experience producing and editing podcasts and comedy albums through the local Brown Bag Studios. His first feature film was released in 2008, and he has since continued to work on a variety of projects.
Rhett currently resides in Minneapolis and works as the Studio Manager for DanceLife Ballroom, where he oversees the day-to-day operations of the studio. He also works as the Role Play Training Director for MNCIT, utilizing his skills to train others in the art of role-playing.
