Rémy's journey as a filmmaker began in 2022, when he graduated from the prestigious Editor's Lab at the Canadian Film Centre's Norman Jewison Film Program. This esteemed institution provided Rémy with the ideal platform to refine his skills and expand his creative horizons.
Prior to his time at the Canadian Film Centre, Rémy's storytelling foundation was shaped by his extensive experience in documentary filmmaking, art cinema, and community activism. He studied at Montreal's Institut national de l'image et du son (L'inis),where he honed his skills in the Documentary Cinema Director's program.
