Biography

Reg Gorman was born and raised in Sydney, where he spent his formative years alongside his sister Dawn. During his youth, Reg was an avid rugby player, competing for the local Banksia team and later joining the esteemed St George Rugby Club. In his free time, Reg would often entertain his teammates with stand-up routines and impersonations of his idols, Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis, after matches.

Reg's impressive comedic skills eventually caught the attention of a talent agent, who discovered him through a talent contest. This marked the beginning of his illustrious career in vaudeville, as he embarked on a nationwide tour of Australia, honing his craft alongside some of the country's most renowned comedians.

Reg also trained under the guidance of the esteemed Hayes Gordon in Sydney, before transitioning to work in theatre and music theatre with JC Williamson and state theatre companies. It was during his time with JC Williamson that he met his future wife, Judith Roberts, in the production of "How to Succeed in Business."

Reg has been a staple of Australian television since its inception, appearing in numerous drama, comedy, and variety shows. His impressive resume boasts hundreds of credits in film, television, and theatre, including plays, movies, and TV series. In 2011, he won the Best Actor award at the St Kilda Film Festival for his outstanding performance as Joe in "Punch Drunk" (2010).

Reg and Judith are proud parents of three accomplished children: actress and director Kate Gorman, writer and teacher Karl Gorman, and actress and writer Charmaine Gorman. The couple is also grandparents to four young grandchildren.
