Biography

Razaaq Adoti, professionally known as Raz, was born in England to Nigerian parents. He began his stage career at the tender age of 17. Prior to completing his college education, he was cast in the lead role of Nathan Detroit in the National Youth and Music Theatre Company's (NYMT) production of Guys and Dolls.

He went on to earn his Bachelor of Arts degree in acting from the prestigious Central School of Speech and Drama. Upon graduation, he was signed by one of London's most reputable talent agencies, paving the way for a successful acting career.

In 1997, he landed a major supporting role in Steven Spielberg's epic film, Amistad. Following his work on Amistad, he returned to London and continued to work on various television and film projects.

In 2001, Adoti played the main antagonist, Yousuf Dahir Mo'alim, in Ridley Scott's critically acclaimed film, Black Hawk Down. He has since co-starred in Resident Evil: Apocalypse, alongside Milla Jovovich, and most recently appeared in the movie Cover, directed by Bill Duke.

Throughout his career, Adoti has also made significant contributions to television, with notable credits including Sky One's award-winning drama, Dream Team, the BBC's BAFTA award-winning miniseries, Holding On, ITV's award-winning drama, Soldier Soldier, and Channel 4's controversial miniseries, Men Only.
