Ray Sefo, a semi-retired athlete of Samoan descent, was born on February 15, 1971, in Auckland, New Zealand. With a storied career spanning multiple disciplines, Sefo is a six-time Muay Thai World Champion and an eight-time K-1 World Grand Prix Finals tournament participant.
As a fight promoter, Sefo currently serves as the president of the MMA promotion World Series of Fighting. Prior to his promotion, Sefo made a brief foray into acting, starting in 1995 with a guest appearance on the television series Hercules: The Legendary Journeys.
Nine years later, Sefo made a cameo appearance alongside fellow mixed martial artist Gary Goodridge in the Japanese cult film Godzilla: Final Wars (2004),playing a comical pair of watchmen tasked with guarding an imprisoned Godzilla.
Four years after his film debut, Sefo appeared in the action/crime/thriller Bad Guys (2008). In 2012, Sefo made his professional wrestling debut at Inoki Bom-Ba-Ye, teaming up with Hiromi Amada to face Atsushi Sawada and Hideki Suzuki.
Following his retirement from mixed martial arts competitions in 2015, Sefo relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada, where he continues to train at Xtreme Couture Mixed Martial Arts.
